Description: Perfect for adventure lovers who have no fear of heights, this trail descends through Wadi Dathneh, past an oasis, and through Wadi al Hamra to the Feynan area.
Wadi Ghwair Trail
(Year-round, except during Ramadan), guided only

Distance: 16 km
Time: 7-8 hours
Starting time: 6:30 a.m.
Group size: 10-20 people
Requirements: Transportation to and from Al Mansoura near Shoubak area; no fear of heights
Description: Continue along the gravel river bed of the Wadi, alongside a flowing stream, to the entrance to Wadi Ghweir. Very similar to the famous Siq in Petra, the trail leads through magnificent sceneries of different stone formations and many unique plants and trees on both sides of the river. The scenery is so breathtaking it has been known to cause visitors to forget about everything else -- including how long they have been hiking! After 3.5 hours, you will have tea and you can rest and learn more about the area from your guide. From there, continue to the Byzantine archaeology at Khirbet Feynan until you reach your final destination at Feynan Ecolodge.
Ajloun Hiking Trails
Ajloun Castle Trail

Description: Once you have reached Mar Elias, you have the option of continuing on this challenging trail, which takes you by small farm houses and their adjacent orchards on your way to Ajloun Castle, built between AD 1184-1188 by Salahadin's nephew. In the first section of the trail you can enjoy views of the West Bank and Syria, before you descend into a wooded valley. The final difficult uphill is rewarded by the incredible Castle and the marvelous views that accompany it. The hike also includes a locally prepared picnic lunch.

الوصف :
تمتع بمجرى النهر المليء بالحصى في قاع الوادي و بجانب الشلالات المنسابة وصوت خرير المياه الذي يبعث الراحة في النفس وصولا إلى مدخل وادي غوير والذي يشبه ممر السيق في البتراء. هذا الممر مليء بالمناظر الخلابة والمختلفة من تشكيلات حجرية والعديد من النباتات والأشجار الفريدة على كلتا ضفتين النهر. هذه المشاهد التي تذهل الزوار وتجعلهم ينسون المدة التي استغرقوها بالمشي للوصول إليه! عند الوصول، يمكنك أن تنعم بالراحة وتناول كأس شاي بينما يحدثك الدليل المرافق عن المنطقة أكثر. و من هناك تستمر بالسير حتى تصل إلى الآثار البيزنطية في خربة فينان ومن ثم إلى وجهتك الأخيرة.
يٌغلق هذا الطريق في حال هطول الأمطار من الجبال المجاورة بسبب احتمالية حدوث فيضانات.

عند وصولك مار الياس، لديك خيار الاستمرار على طريق مليء بالتحدي، والذي سيأخذك يبدأ من بيت المزارع الصغير والبساتين المجاورة لها في الطريق إلى قلعة عجلون، والتي بنيت بين 1184 م - 1188 من قبل ابن أخ صلاح الدين، ففي القسم الأول من الممر يمكنك التمتع بمناظر من الضفة الغربية وسوريا، قبل أن تنحدر إلى واد مشجر. الطريق شاقة وصعبة ولكن منظر القلعة عند رؤيتها لن يصدق. ويتخلل هذه الجولة، استراحة غداء أعدت في احدى بيوت المجتمع المحلي.

Jordan’s Eastern Badia Trail (JEBT) follows the footsteps of nomadic Bedouins across an ever-changing natural desert landscape that connects protected areas rich with ancient history, tradition, culture, archaeology, geology, flora and fauna. The trail, linking Azraq Wetland Reserve and Shaumari Wildlife Reserve with the proposed Burqu reserve, leads explorers from the gateway to the mysterious heart of the Jordanian desert.
The ultimate off-road desert experience, JEBT is inspired by the age-old connection between the land’s indigenous Bedouins and its remote wilderness. Time stands still in the Eastern Badia, where life falls into step with the seasonal nature of a sometimes harsh, but always stunningly diverse area. In keeping with the nomadic way of life, the trail changes with the seasons, ensuring minimal impact to nature, and that the desert has time to replenish and flourish.
JEBT tells the tale of Jordan’s desert legacy, as seen by the names of its places, its fossils and even in the inscriptions carved by ancient peoples into its rocks. Only an hour and half drive from the capital Amman, the Eastern Badia offers visitors a wealth of stories – and surprises - about Jordan’s ancient and modern inhabitants, its nature, wildlife and the bones of the earth itself.

The start and end point for all of the trails is Azraq Lodge. Visitors explore the trail in a 4*4 vehicle, with some hiking and additional activities such as camel riding and cycling at certain points along the trail.

Ajloun Cabins:
There are 23 beautifully designed cabins provide the perfect way for you to experience nature with some additional luxury. Each cabin has comfort and style and is equipped with a private bathroom and a small terrace that invites you to sit for hours enjoying the soft breeze and rolling forest vistas
These cabins are open all year round, and at full capacity, house 70 people.
Azraq Lodge:
A converted 1940’s British military field hospital, located at the edge of the Eastern Desert, only a short distance from the Azraq and Shaumari nature reserves. It has an authentic period atmosphere, combined with a modern twist, and provides comfortable and characterful accommodation from which to explore the Eastern Desert.
There are 16 fully equipped 1940's style rooms, air conditioned with private bathrooms and terraces, overlooking Azraq Village and sand flats of the Azraq Basin.
The rooms can accommodate up to 60 people at full capacity. All the staff members are from local Bedouin, Chechen, and Druze communities and the kitchen and restaurant are under the management of a local family, who provide home-cooked Chechen food.
The Lodge is open all year round.
Mujib Chalets:
Opened in April 2008, Mujib now has a ‘chalet village’ on the shores of the Madash peninsula, providing 15 double rooms with some of the best Dead Sea views along the coast. Each chalet has an uninterrupted sea view, shaded sun terrace, air conditioning and privet toilets. The chalets are only a short distance from the Mujib Reserve Visitor Center and the entrance to the stunning Mujib canyon and river hike. They are therefore an ideal place from which to explore the unique landscape of the Reserve or enjoy the medicinal properties of the Dead Sea. The chalets are open all year round.
Dana Guesthouse:
Perched on the edge of the precipitous cliffs of Wadi Dana, this beautifully styled building merges elements of village vernacular architecture with more modern elements, creating a structure with a definable Arabic character, unlike any other in Jordan, offering breath-taking views of the Reserve.
It consists of 23 comfortable room, it made to house up to 65 person. 9 rooms share external toilets and showers, and 15 Deluxe room has a private bathroom, adding character and authenticity to the entire experience. Considering that the Guesthouse was originally meant to house researchers, all the rooms has private terraces that offer spectacular views of the surrounding wadi and mountains.
The Guesthouse is also equipped with facilities for courses and conferences, making a perfect location for retreats and workshops.
The Guesthouse is open all year round.
Feynan Ecolodge:
Feynan Ecolodge was constructed in 2005 by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature and is the first of its kind in Jordan. In September 2009, EcoHotels took over the management and operation of the lodge, offering travellers an unparalleled opportunity to experience Jordan’s wilderness, meet its native people and explore its ancient history, with minimal impact on the environment.
Each of the 26 guestrooms at Feynan is unique, designed around a series of internal courtyards reminiscent of the ancient caravanserai or inns on the silk routes through the desert. Whichever distinctive room you choose, you will enjoy ambient lighting from candles tucked in alcoves around the room and solar-heated showers in your private en-suite bathroom. Solar generated electricity is provided in the bathrooms for your convenience.
Depending on your preference and budget, choose from three room categories all with ensuite bathroom facilities: economy, standard or deluxe. The Lodge has rooms that sleep 2-4 people; comfortably accommodating groups, families, couples and independent travellers.
With the capacity of accommodating up to 60 people, Feynan Ecolodge is also an ideal venue for hosting meetings, conferences or corporate retreats. Remotely located in the rugged beauty of Dana Biosphere Reserve, Feynan is a unique experience that stands apart from the standard hotel venue.

أكواخ محمية غابات عجلون
يتوفر في محمية غابات عجلون 23 كوخ خشبي مجهز ومصمم بطريقة عصرية ومثالية لتجربة الإقامة في الطبيعة. كل كوخ مجهز بمرافق خاصة، وإطلالة على جبال المحمية، لتستمتع بالمناظرالطبيعية الخلابه للمحمية ضمن منطقة خاصة بك. حيث تدعوك إلى الجلوس لساعات طويلة تتمتع فيها بنسيم عليل ومشاهد أخّاذة لآفاق الغابات.

نزل الأزرق
يقع نزل الأزرق بالقرب من محمية الأزرق المائية وعلى بعد مسافة قصيرة من محمية الشومري ومطلاً على قاع الأزرق. لقد كان النزل قديماً مستشفى ميداني قديم بناه الانجليز في الأربعينيات من القرن الماضي، وقامت الجمعية الملكية لحماية الطبيعة بإستحداثه ليصبح نزلا يضم 16 غرفة، ويعد نقطة الانطلاق لزيارة المحمية المائية ومناطق الجذب السياحي الأخرى في الصحراء الشرقية.
تعد الإقامة في نزل الأزرق تجربة فريدة، حيث يتكون النزل من 16 غرفة مجهزة بالكامل، كل غرفة تحتوي على نظام خاص لتكييف الهواء، حمام خاص وشرفة تتميز بإطلالة جميلة على قرية الأزرق وعلى قاع الأزرق.
جميع الموظفين في النزل هم من البدو والشيشان والدروز المحليين ويوجد مطبخ ومطعم يقدم الطعام الشيشاني التقليدي.
ويستقبل النزل الزوار على مدار العام.
شاليهات الموجب:
تقع شاليهات الموجب ضمن شبه جزية المدش والتي تمتد على شاطئ البحر الميت، فقد تم بناء 15 شاليه مُطل على البحر الميت. حيث يمكن للزوار الاستمتاع بمياه البحر الميت المالحة وخواصها العلاجية على شاطئ الشاليهات الخاص. ينفرد كل شاليه بإطلالته على البحر الميت، ونظام لتكييف الهواء، بالاضافة لحمامه الخاص. وتقع الشاليهات على بعد عدة أمتار من مركز زوار محمية الموجب للمحيط الحيوي.
تبعد الشاليهات مسافة قصيرة عن مركز مغامرات الموجب، والذي يعد مكان مثالي لاستكشاف المناظر الطبيعية الفريدة من محمية الموجب للمحيط الحيوي.
بيت الضيافة - محمية ضانا للمحيط الحيوي
يقع بيت الضيافة على سفح وادي ضانا، ويتميز المبنى بإطلالته على وادي ضانا، بالإضافة لغرفه المريحة والمأكولات التقليدية العربية والخدمة المميزة. ويضم بيت الضيافة 15 غرفة مزودة بحمامات خاصة، وتشترك 8 غرف أخرى بالحمامات والجدير بالذكر ان بيت الضيافة كان مخصص للباحثين ولذلك جميع الغرفة تحتوي على شرفة مطلة على االوادي والجبال المحيطة.
وقد تم تجهيز بيت الضيافة أيضا مع مرافق للدورات والمؤتمرات، مما يجعل المكان مثاليًا للخلوات وورش العمل، فهو يستقبل الزوار على مدار العام.
نزل فينان البيئي - محمية ضانا للمحيط الحيوي
شيد نزل فينان البيئي عام 2005 من قبل الجمعية الملكية لحماية الطبيعة، ويعد الأول من نوعه في الأردن. ففي أيلول 2009، أخذت شركة الفنادق البيئية على عاتقها إدارة وتشغيل النُزل، فتقدم للزوار فرصة لا مثيل لها لتجربة الحياة البرية في الأردن، واستكشاف تاريخها القديم، دون التأثير على البيئة.
يتميز النزل بعدم إتصاله بأي شبكة كهربائية ويعمل على توليد طاقته الكهربائية من خلال الألواح الكهروضوئية الموضوعة على سطحه ويتم تخزين هذه الطاقة في بطاريات. ولترشيد استخدام الطاقة الكهربائية المخزنة تقتصر الإنارة على المناطق الحيوية في النزل كالمطبخ وحمامات الضيوف، بينما تستخدم الشموع التي ينتجها سكان المجتمع المحلي في إنارة باقي مرافق النزل. هذا بالإضافة إلى وجود نظام يعمل بواسطة الطاقة الشمسية لتسخين المياه التي يستخدمها الضيوف على مدار الساعة. ويحتوي نزل فينان على 26 غرفة جميعها مزودة بحمامات خاصة بنزلائها. ومع حلول المساء، تتراقص أضواء مئات الشموع وتضفي الحياة على ممرات وساحات النزل.
يعد نزل فينان البيئي أيضًا المكان المثالي لاستضافة الاجتماعات والمؤتمرات والشركات، فلديه القدرة على استيعاب ما يصل إلى 60 شخصًا.

At 410 meters below sea level, the Mujib Biosphere Reserve is the lowest nature reserve on Earth. Its rugged and spectacular mountains border the Dead Sea coast and are dissected by several river-filled canyons that offer the best river and adventure hikes in Jordan. The breathtaking scenery and the challenge of negotiating Mujib’s fast-flowing rivers make the Reserve one of Jordan’s most popular natural attractions.
Mujib’s complex river system and all-year water flow enable it to support a rich biodiversity. To date, over 300 species of plants, 10 species of carnivores and numerous species of resident and migratory birds have been recorded. Some of the mountain and valley areas are difficult to reach and offer safe havens for rare species of cats, mountain goats (Ibex) and other mountain animals.
Mujib Adventure Center
Is the starting point of all the adventures and activities (except Al Hidan trail) to explore Wadi Al Mujib, and it is a special spot for the adventure lovers in Jordan and the world. The center also has a cafeteria and a waiting area.
تقع محمية المجب للمحيط الحيوي على ارتفاع 410 مترًا تحت مستوى سطح البحر، وتعتبر أخفض محمية طبيعية على وجه الأرض. وتتميز المحمية بالجبال الساحرة و الوعرة والتي تحد ساحل البحر الميّت ويتخللها العديد من الوديان المليئة بالأنهار والتي تعتبر أفضل الأنهار في الأردن لمحبي المغامرات، ففيها مناظر تحبس الأنفاس ومليئة بالتحديات في مجابهة الأنهار المتدفقة والسريعة مما جعل من محمية الموجب واحدة من أكثر المحميات جذبًا للزوّار.
وقد مكّن نظام الأنهار المعقد في الموجب وتدفّق المياه فيه على مدار السنة من دعم تنوّع بيولوجي خصب. فحتى الآن، تم تسجيل أكثر من 300 نوعًا من النباتات و10 أنواع من الحيوانات المفترسة وأنواع عديدة من الطيور المقيمة والمهاجرة. حيث أنه يصعب الوصول إلى بعض المناطق الجبلية والوديان في الموجب، مما يجعلها ملاذًا لأنواع نادرة من القطط، والماعز الجبلي (الوعل)، والحيوانات الجبلية الأخرى.

تقع شاليهات الموجب ضمن شبه جزية المدش والتي تمتد على شاطئ البحر الميت، فقد تم بناء 15 شاليه مُطل على البحر الميت. حيث يمكن للزوار الاستمتاع بمياه البحر الميت المالحة وخواصها العلاجية على شاطئ الشاليهات الخاص. ينفرد كل شاليه بإطلالته على البحر الميت، ونظام لتكييف الهواء، بالاضافة لحمامه الخاص.

Description: The trail starts at the Adventures Center near the Mujib Bridge, where you will take the cantilevered walkway over the dam and follow the course of the river between towering sandstone cliffs to the base of a large waterfall. Depending on seasonal rainfall levels, the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming. This is an ideal walk to take slowly and enjoy the cool water and shade, especially in the heat of the summer.

Description:
The trail begins at the Adventures Center and follows the Dead Sea Highway before ascending into the Reserve. Diverging to the south, the trail runs parallel to the Dead Sea, which provides a startlingly blue backdrop for the entire hike. The hike then continues along a number of dry Wadis to the Raddas Ranger Station, where you may see Nubian Ibex. It is also, where the famous rock “statue” of Lot’s wife can be seen. After resting at the Station, the trail continues along a road for about one hour until reaching the Reserve entrance near the Visitor Center.

عليك إستخدام الجسر المعدني المعلّق للوصول إلى بداية الممر، حيث ستسير بعكس إتجاه المياه وصولاً إلى شلال إرتفاعه 20 متراً. قد يحتوي الممرعلى برك عميقة للسباحة إعتماداً على معدّل هطول الأمطار الموسمي. ويعد ممر السّيق مثالياً لعشاق المغامرة خلال فصل الصيف، حيث ستستمتع بالمياه الباردة والظّلال خلال المسير.

الوصف:
يبدأ الممر إنطلاقاً من مركز مغامرات الموجب ويتبع طريق البحر الميت جنوباً نحو نقطة البداية. ويتخلل هذا الممر المسير عبر التلال الصخرية ومن ثم الإتجاه صعوداً على إمتداد عدد من الأودية الجافة وصولاً إلى محطة المفتشين "الردّاس"، حيث قد تصادف الماعز الجبلي "البدن" في تلك المنطقة. وبعد الإستراحة في محطة المفتشين، ستتابع المسير على إمتداد الطريق نزولاً بإتجاه البحر الميت ووصولاً لبوابة المحمية.

Go on the Oryx Safari at Shaumari Wildlife Reserve for a unique experience that is fun for the entire family. Shaumari Wildlife Reserve is home to the critically endangered Arabian Oryx and Persian Onager. The reserve also is home to desert gazelles, striped hyenas, jackals, wolves, foxes and wide array of wild animals. On the Oryx Safari Trail you will see these majestic creatures in their natural environment while learning interesting aspects of each animal’s behavior.
Our converted Land Cruiser safari vehicles are equipped with everything you need to live the adventure: water, rain gear and binoculars. Onyx Safari Trail takes 3 to 4 hours. Your professional nature guide will meet you at the gate to the Shaumari Wildlife Reserve in the safari vehicle. The tour begins with a brief about the reserve and what to expect on your journey through the desert. Midway through the safari, you will stop for a picnic and enjoy a hot cup of tea while taking in the beautiful semi-desert landscape of Shaumari. The reserve is an amazing place where you will learn about Shaumari’s unusual desert habitats and conservation history.

Oryx Safari Trail brings you close to one of the region’s most magnificent (and endangered) wild animals: the Arabian Oryx. This large white antelope, with its long, pointed horns, is an icon of Arabia and is thought to be the origin of the mythical unicorn. While touring Shaumari, you may also see the Persian Onager, another critically endangered species breeding successfully in the reserve. While we cannot guarantee that you will see any big animals on your trip, you will experience the special character of the Eastern Desert, with its surprising variety of vegetation and subtle colors.
Shaumari lies on a major global migratory route between Europe, Asia and Africa and is a hot spot for bird activity, where many birds stop during migration seasons to rest, eat and mate. In the safari vehicle, you will find binoculars to help you get a good look at a variety of birds. Notable sightings could include the Imperial Eagle (Aquila heliacal), the Pallid Harrier (Circus macrourus), and the Egyptian Vulture (Neophron percnopterus).
Oryx Safari offers a unique “track and sign” experience that helps visitors build connections between different aspects of the natural environment and the organisms living in it. During your tour, you will learn the basic principles of animal tracking and practice reading tracks. Your guide will also provide an overview of the reserve’s vegetation, pointing out different kinds of native plants and herbs and their uses.

والمها العربي هي ظباء بيضاء كبيرة، تتمتع بقرون طويلة، ويُعتقد أن أصله وحيد القرن الأسطوري. بالاضافة لذلك فقد ترى أيضًا الحمار البري الفارسي، وهو آخر الأنواع المهددة بالانقراض والذي تمت تربيته بنجاح في المحمية. ليس بإمكاننا أن نضمن رؤية أيٍ من الحيوانات الكبيرة خلال الجولة، ولكنك سوف ترى أفقًا خاصًا للصحراء الشرقية، مع مجموعة متنوعة من النباتات المتنوعة والألوان الحادة. فمحمية الشومري تقع على مسار هجرة عالمية رئيسية بين أوروبا وآسيا وأفريقيا وتعد بقعة هامة لنشاط الطيور، حيث تتوقف العديد من الطيور فيها خلال مواسم الهجرة للراحة وتناول الطعام والتزاوج.
